Overview

Understand all the technical key terms we use to talk about the PRO.

  • First-time launch wizard
  • An on-screen guide that takes the user through the steps to get connected to Wi-Fi or 4G and to link the device to their venue on the Management Portal.
  • Taxi type feature
  • A screen which allows the user to select a taxi type for the booking that is being placed.
  • Taxi type label
  • The name of the vehicle on the taxi type page.
  • Taxi type description
  • The description of the vehicle on the taxi type page.
  • Payment type feature
  • A screen which allows the user to select a payment type for the booking that is being placed.
  • Payment type label
  • The name of the payment type on the payment type page.
  • Payment type description
  • The description of the payment type on the payment type page.
  • Destination feature
  • A screen which allows the user to search and enter a destination for the booking that is being placed and which automatically generates geolocation coordinates for the driver.
  • Popular destinations
  • A list of most frequently used destinations on the device.
  • Most recent destinations
  • Displays the last used destination at the top of the popular destinations list.
  • Price estimator
  • A tool which calculates and displays the estimated price for the booking that is being placed based on the dispatch system's calculations. The price estimator is visible on the "Customize your booking" page once a destination and taxi type have been selected.
  • Passenger information feature
  • A screen which allows the user to enter passenger information like name and phone number.
  • Phone validation
  • A tool which checks if the format of the entered phone number is correct. Availability depends on the dispatch system integration.
  • Personal message feature
  • A screen which allows the user to enter a personal message to the driver.
  • Language selector
  • A tool available directly in the user interface which allows the user to select a language for the device.
  • Company settings page
  • The company settings page, accessible in the Management Portal, allows taxi companies to set and save default settings for venues.
  • Order a taxi
  • Main user interface button that allows users to enter booking details and to order a taxi.
  • Taxi Butler PRO
  • The actual taxi booking device.
  • Firmware
  • The firmware is the software which controls the device's hardware.
  • Booking card
  • A booking card is user interface element displayed on the device which stores information about a specific booking.
  • Active booking card
  • An active booking card is a booking card with information about a booking which is in progress and shows status updates.
  • Prebooked trip card
  • A prebooking card is a booking card with information about a prebooking which shows the booking date, time and destination, but which is not yet in progress.
  • Prebooking feature
  • A screen which allows the user to select a date and time in order to place a prebooking.
  • Full screen dialog
  • Full screen status page of a future booking or active booking which shows booking information.
  • Cancel booking
  • Allows the user to cancel an active booking or a prebooking.
  • Hamburger menu
  • A user interface element which opens the settings screen. Can be identified as an icon with three stacked horizontal bars.
  • Snackbar
  • A user interface element which displays short messages and can be found at the bottom of the screen.
  • Dialog
  • A user interface element which displays as a modal window (pop-up) and requires input from the user.
